Clifford O.T. Wieden was the principal of the Aroostook State Normal School (later the Aroostook State Teacher's College and now the University of Maine at Presque Isle) and became its president in 1953. In the summer of 1947 he taught a course at Farmington State Teachers College (now the University of Maine at Farmington) entitled "Sociography: A Maine State Travel Course."
